Raleigh's north and west neighborhoods cover several eras of growth. Five Points is known for 1920s-to-1940s bungalows, cottages, Colonial Revival homes, front porches, and an old tree canopy. North Hills mixes mid-century brick ranches and rebuilt homes with Midtown offices, shops, apartments, and high-use public spaces. Brier Creek, near RDU and Research Triangle Park, has newer subdivisions and commercial properties on more open sites. One cleaning method cannot serve all three well.
The City of Oaks lives up to its name when pollen drops and shade holds moisture against exterior walls. Older porches collect leaf tannins and organic film; north-facing siding can turn green; roofs beneath trees develop dark streaks; and busy commercial concrete gathers tracked soil, food residue, and traffic marks. We test materials, protect landscaping, and separate low-pressure washing from concrete work. Historic coatings, modern fiber cement, brick, and retail flatwork each receive their own method in a free written scope.

Close to home
Five Points takes its name from the convergence of five roads, and its village-like streets feel very different from the mixed-use center at North Hills. Brier Creek shifts the context again toward newer construction, broad roads, shopping centers, and airport-area growth. These are not labels pasted onto the same housing pattern; they are distinct working environments with different access and pedestrian considerations.
On an older Five Points home, we may slow down for aging paint, brick joints, porch ceilings, and close landscaping. At a North Hills or Brier Creek business, the priority may be keeping entries open, working outside peak hours, documenting insurance, and maintaining a recurring schedule. The estimate captures those operational differences before a date is set.
